Who We Are

Dr. Audrey Morrison, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Audrey Morrison, DNP, PMHNP-BC is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner practicing in the state of New York. Dr. Morrison completed her graduate education and training at Columbia University. Post graduation, Dr. Morrison completed the Community Healthcare Network (CHN) Nurse Practitioner Fellowship program which provided her with additional support, training, and mentorship in providing high-quality mental health treatment for underinsured or uninsured New Yorkers. During her fellowship, Dr. Morrison worked to improve CHN’s school-based mental health services program, identifying barriers to access to care and educating other providers regarding how to effectively utilize school-based treatment services.

Currently, Dr. Morrison is a full-time clinician at New Alternatives for Children, a nonprofit foster care agency in New York City. In this role, Dr. Morrison works with children and adults who are involved in the child welfare system in NYC.

Dr. Morrison has extensive education and training in providing high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents. She is passionate about improving access to care, specifically in the school setting, which provides a greater level of comfort and accessibility for children and families.

Dr. Morrison is specialized in treating a range of conditions, and has formal knowledge in providing the following:

  • Inclusive education for caregivers and a safe space to discuss difficult feelings around mental health

  • Support for individuals with a history of complex, acute, and/or chronic trauma

  • Mental health care for anxiety, depression, and mood disorders

  • Treatment for developmental delays + Autism

  • Individualized interventions for neurodivergent children including those with ADHD and other learning disabilities

  • Holistic/alternative treatment options not involving the use of medication

  • Supporting families in getting connected to the right type of treatment/therapy

Dr. Morrison is the founder and visionary behind The Happiness Project. She is passionate about improving the quality of life for the youth of New York City.
